I have worked for The Youth Net since it started in 2003. I have been involved in youth work for 25 years and in schools work for 10 years. I am passionate about supporting local churches in their youth and children's work, supporting youth and children's workers and working with schools to develop spirituality within their communities. I am married to Jon and a mum of 5 amazing children (but I am biased!). In my spare time (of which there isn't much!) I love to run, read books and eat chocolate and banana sandwiches. I am a useless gardener and I would like to be a better juggler!
I did my gap year (a while ago!) with The Youth Net, where I discovered my passion for working with children and young people in schools. After a bit of a detour via Durham University and West Yorkshire, I rejoined The Youth Net as their Primary Schools Development Worker in 2016. I have been involved in youth work for 15 years, and specifically in schools work for the last 9 years. My driving force is to bring hope, whatever form that takes, to children and young people. I enjoy reading, dancing at Zumba, playing hockey, and tea and cake with friends. I am a forward planner but unfortunately that doesn’t seem to stop me often being late to things!
